MEDIC is an exciting and innovative
approach to medical and pre-medical
education, utilising internet and
mobile phone technology to provide
students with the opportunity of
experiencing the challenge of being
on-call.

The core of MEDIC is Medlink’s
online cardiology course, which
covers a period of five weeks during
which students can expect to spend
some 3 hours a week (at times suitable
to them) accessing MEDIC training
materials. At given points on-call
texts will be sent to students to which
they have to respond with the correct
information or diagnosis (based on their
training). A successful overall on-call
response score will lead to the
Medlink Interactive Certificate.

MEDIC runs from the start of a calendar
month between March and August, with
students having the option of selecting
the month in which they would like to
take MEDIC. Booking early ensures you
will have the start date of your choice.

MEDIC has also been constructed so even
those without mobile phones can take part.
