About the Course
Held in one at the most modern teaching hospitals in the country, Medlink is a unique 4-day course for young people seriously considering a career in medicine, providing delegates with the opportunity to listen to and discuss medical school admissions and careers in medicine with the Deans from a number of medical schools.
Although the course is being held at the University of Nottingham Medical School, delegates should view this fact as immaterial. The course is non-aligned and seeks to provide those attending with information and advice on medical school and courses from across the country. In addition, medical students from a number of schools will be in attendance, to discuss the merits and drawbacks of studying modern medicine.
Lectures will be wide-ranging, covering many areas of modern medicine, as can be seen from the sample programme contained in the brochure or by clicking.
Medlink is valuable for students in years 12 and 13, as not only will they hear guidance on applying to medical school but also on what to do if things go wrong and they need to reapply. Advice on surviving medical school will be given by medical students, and everyone will have the opportunity to talk with practising
doctors and medical students, in addition to the opportunity of meeting face to face with many of the country’s medical schools admission tutors during the Medlink Exhibition.
